Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Trajan facing right, with characteristic strong facial features rendered in the provincial style. The laureate wreath is visible atop the head, and the bust is draped. A Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan, naming the emperor in the accusative case as befitting provincial coinage of the eastern conventus.
