Reverse description Apollo seated left upon a throne or rocky outcrop, rendered in the Hellenistic tradition favoured by Odessos civic coinage. In his extended right hand he holds a laurel branch, while his left hand cradles a lyre, the characteristic attributes of the god as patron of music and divination. The Greek civic legend of the Odessitans is distributed around the field, encircling the seated deity within a dotted border.
