| Reverse description | Zeus Soter depicted standing nude, facing front with head turned to the left, his right arm extended forward presenting a perched eagle, while his left hand rests upon a tall sceptre for support. The god is rendered in the classical Hellenistic tradition befitting the dignity of the chief Olympian deity venerated at Cyzicus. The Greek legend naming Zeus as Saviour and identifying the issuing civic authority of the Cyzicenes surrounds the figure within a beaded border. |
