Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Septimius Severus facing right, depicted from behind in three-quarter rear view, a rendering typical of provincial bronze coinage of the Severan period. The emperor's laureate wreath and military cuirass are rendered in low relief characteristic of Asia Minor workshop production. The obverse legend encircles the bust in Greek characters identifying the emperor by his full imperial titulature.
