| Obverse description | Draped bust of Julia Domna facing right, her hair elaborately waved and coiled into a large bun at the nape of the neck, rendered in the distinctive Severan style. The effigy is depicted with finely modelled drapery over the shoulder and chest. A Latin legend encircles the portrait within a beaded border. The portrait exhibits the characteristic sculptural quality of provincial bronze coinage struck under the Severan dynasty. |
