| Reverse description | Apollo standing facing left in a full-length figure, nude or semi-draped, leaning with his right arm upon a tall tripod at his side, while his raised left hand holds a laurel branch. The god is depicted in a classical contrapposto stance, characteristic of Hellenistic civic bronze coinage of Asia Minor. The encircling Greek legend reading ΑΤΤΟΥΔΕωΝ ΔΙΑ ΦΛΑΒΙΑϹ ΙΕΡΙΑϹ identifies the issuing city and the priestess Flavia under whose authority the coin was struck. The entire design is enclosed within a dotted border. |
