Obverse description Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Philip I (Philip the Arab) facing right, portrayed in three-quarter rear view, with the radiate crown clearly rendered. The imperial effigy is presented in the typical provincial style of the mid-third century, combining military and civilian attributes.
