| Obverse description | Radiate head of the Emperor Nero facing right, rendered in a somewhat provincial style typical of colonial Achaean issues. The radiate crown is visible atop the portrait, distinguishing the imperial effigy. The surrounding circular legend reads NERO CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG GERM in Latin script. A small counter-mark or control mark appears visible in the field. The flan is irregular, consistent with hand-struck provincial bronze coinage of the Julio-Claudian period. |
