| Obverse description | Nero depicted standing in a naiskos (aedicula), shown frontally between two columns supporting an architrave, rendered in a stylized provincial manner. The emperor appears as a cult figure, standing erect within the architectural frame. A partial Greek legend is inscribed along the periphery reading ΝΕΡΩΝΙ ΠΑΤΡΩ, identifying Nero in the dative case as patron. The overall composition reflects the deification imagery common to Greek provincial bronze coinage of the Julio-Claudian period. |
