Reverse description Four-line Greek honorific inscription arranged horizontally across the field, reading ΝΙΚΟΜΗΔΕΩΝ ΔΙϹ ΝΕΩΚΟΡΩΝ, enclosed within a laurel wreath tied at the base. The wreath border is a common device on Bithynian civic bronzes to frame civic titulature, here celebrating Nicomedia's prestigious status as twice-neocorate — holder of the imperial cult temple on two occasions. The flat field and bold lettering are typical of the municipal bronze coinage of Nicomedia under the Severan and post-Severan emperors.
