Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Maximinus Thrax facing right, portrayed with the characteristic broad-shouldered military presentation seen from behind, the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder. The imperial effigy is rendered in the provincial style typical of Mysia, with the laurel wreath clearly indicated despite the worn surfaces. The encircling Greek legend names the emperor with his full titulature in the field around the bust.
