| Obverse description | Youthful draped and cuirassed bust of Commodus as Caesar, wearing paludamentum, facing right and seen from the rear. The portrait presents the prince laureate, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of the Alexandrian Troas mint. The Latin legend surrounding the effigy reads COMMODO CAES AVG FIL GERMA SARM, identifying him as son of the Augustus and bearer of the Germanic and Sarmatian victory titles. |

| Reverse description | An eagle in full flight, wings raised and spread, moving to the left, clutching a bucranium (ox skull) in its talons — a distinctive and uncommon reverse type associated with the colonial coinage of Alexandria Troas. The bird is rendered in a robust provincial style, occupying most of the field, with the colonial legend COL AVG TROAD disposed in the exergue and surrounding field, affirming the city's status as a Roman colony (Colonia Augusta Troadensis). |
