Obverse description Bare-headed, cuirassed bust of Lucius Verus facing right, depicted with his characteristic thick, curly hair. The emperor is shown in military dress, the cuirass rendered in moderate relief consistent with provincial die-cutting traditions. A Greek imperial legend encircles the effigy in the field, identifying the ruler by his full titulature. The portraiture reflects the Antonine workshop style typical of Achaean provincial bronzes of the 160s AD.
