| Obverse description | Laureate, draped bust of Lucius Verus facing right, depicted with curly hair and beard in the Antonine style. The imperial effigy is rendered in moderate relief consistent with provincial bronze coinage of the Conventus of Sardis. A Greek legend surrounds the portrait, partially readable along the periphery of the flan. The coin displays typical provincial workmanship of Asia Minor under the joint reign of Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus. |
