| Obverse description | Draped bust of Lucilla facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and bound, rendered in the portrait style characteristic of Antonine-era provincial coinage. The effigy is depicted with finely modelled drapery over the shoulder, consistent with imperial consort portraiture. The circumferential Greek legend ΛοΥΚΙΛΛΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ runs around the bust in the field, identifying the subject as Augusta Lucilla, daughter of Marcus Aurelius and wife of Lucius Verus. |
