| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, depicted in three-quarter front view, with the imperial paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The portrait presents the characteristic Hadrianic full beard and idealized physiognomy typical of provincial bronze coinage from Achaea. A partial Latin legend encircles the bust, reading IMP CAES TRA[---], identifying the emperor by his imperial titles. The die work reflects the provincial engraving style of the Corinthian mint during the early to mid second century AD. |
