Obverse description Laureate, cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with paludamentum draped over the left shoulder, presented in three-quarter frontal view. The emperor's bare head is rendered in the classicising portrait style characteristic of Hadrianic provincial coinage. The encircling legend runs along the outer periphery of the flan.

Reverse description Standing figure of Athena Chalinitis facing, with head turned to the left, holding a bridle in her extended right hand — a reference to the local mythological tradition associating the goddess with the taming of Pegasus at Corinth. In her left hand she bears a spear and shield. The colonial legend is distributed in the field around the deity.
