Obverse description Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, rendered as seen from the rear in the characteristic three-quarter back view typical of later provincial issues. The imperial effigy displays paludamentum over cuirass, with the laureate wreath clearly articulated around the head. The encircling Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan. The strike is moderately worn, with the portrait retaining sufficient detail to confirm the imperial attributes.
