| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, depicted from a rear three-quarter perspective, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The imperial effigy is rendered in the characteristic provincial style of the Pergamene conventus. The Greek legend encircles the bust along the periphery of the flan, reading from upper left. The coin shows typical surface wear and patination consistent with a heavily circulated provincial bronze issue. |
