| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gallienus facing right, portrayed from behind so as to display the paludamentum and armour in three-quarter rear view. The encircling Greek legend names the emperor with his full titulature in the nominative case. The portrait exhibits the characteristic style of the Cyzicene civic mint, with bold relief despite the heavily worn and irregular flan. |

| Reverse description | Six-line Greek inscription entirely enclosed within a finely rendered laurel wreath tied at the base, the whole occupying the central field of the reverse. The text records the name and title of the local strategos Asclepiades and identifies the issuing civic authority as the Cyzicenes holding neocorate status, a mark of distinction signifying the city's right to maintain an imperial cult temple. The wreath border is clearly visible in the image as a continuous olive or laurel spray encircling the legend. |
