| Obverse description | Draped and diademed bust of Empress Salonina facing right, depicted in the Hellenistic portrait tradition typical of Greek provincial coinage under Gallienus. The effigy shows the empress with elaborately dressed hair, a diadem, and drapery visible at the shoulder. The Greek legend partially preserved in the field reads ΚΟΡΝΗ ϹΑΛΩΝΕΙΝΑ ϹΕΒ or a variant thereof, identifying the empress by her official titulature. The flan is irregularly struck, with some weakness in the periphery consistent with hammered provincial bronzes of the period. |
