| Reverse description | Two Nemeses standing facing one another in the field, each plucking at her chiton at the neckline in the characteristic gesture of the goddess. The figure to the left holds a cubit rule, while the figure to the right holds a bridle; a wheel is depicted at the feet of one of the Nemeses, serving as an additional attribute of the deity. The composition is symmetrical and rendered in the Hellenistic civic tradition of Asia Minor. The encircling Greek legend identifies the issuing city and its triple neocorate status. |
