| Obverse description | Bare-headed and laureate bust of Augustus facing right, depicted in the Hellenistic portrait tradition characteristic of Alexandrian coinage. The emperor's finely modelled features show the characteristic Julio-Claudian physiognomy, with the laurel wreath rendered in detailed relief. The truncation of the bust is visible at the lower edge of the flan. The field is largely plain, with no surrounding legend on this side. |
