Reverse description A large open oak wreath fills the reverse field, its leafy branches arching from the base to meet at the top, enclosing the regnal date in the centre of the field. The wreath is rendered with careful attention to the individual lobed oak leaves and acorns typical of Alexandrian bronze issues. The date inscription L ΛΘ is prominently placed within the wreath, denoting regnal year 39 of Augustus according to the Alexandrian era reckoning. No other legend or symbol is present in the field.
