| Obverse description | Laureate head of the emperor Vespasian facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Bithynian civic coinage. The effigy displays the characteristic mature features of Vespasian with a laurel wreath crown. A circular Greek legend surrounds the portrait field, reading dedication to Emperor Caesar Augustus Vespasian by the Nicomedians.
