Obverse description Laureate head of the emperor Vespasian facing right, rendered in the portrait style typical of Greek Imperial civic coinage from Asia Minor. The effigy displays the characteristic features of Vespasian's mature portraiture, with the laurel wreath denoting imperial and divine honors. A Greek legend encircles the bust in the field, identifying the emperor in the accusative case as honoree. The flan shows some irregularity consistent with hand-struck provincial bronze coinage of the Flavian period.
