| Obverse description | Draped bust of Empress Salonina facing right, wearing a stephane (diadem), her hair elaborately arranged in the court fashion of the mid-third century AD. The portrait is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Epirote civic coinage. The obverse legend surrounds the effigy, identifying the empress with her imperial title. The flan is irregular, as typical of hammered provincial bronzes of this period. |
