Obverse description Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Trebonianus Gallus facing right, depicted from behind, rendering the paludamentum and scale armour visible in three-quarter rear view. The radiate crown, a hallmark of imperial solar iconography, surmounts the portrait. A Greek legend encircles the effigy along the periphery of the flan, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The die work reflects the provincial engraving style characteristic of Bithynian civic coinage of the mid-third century AD.
