Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, depicted nude with an aegis draped over the left shoulder, rendered in the Hellenistic-Roman provincial style typical of Alexandrian coinage. The portrait is boldly modelled with characteristic Roman imperial gravitas. The surrounding Greek legend reads ΑΥΤ ΤΡΑΙΑΝ ϹΕΒ ΓΕΡΜ ΔΑΚΙΚ, proclaiming the emperor's titles, arranged in a circular band around the effigy. A dotted border frames the design at the coin's periphery.
