Obverse description Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Herennius Etruscus as Caesar, facing right and viewed from the rear, with the radiate crown indicating his imperial status. The bust displays detailed military dress with visible paludamentum folds at the shoulder. A Greek legend encircles the field, reading in abbreviated form the full titulature of Gaius Messius Quintus Herennius Etruscus Decius Caesar. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show typical provincial wear, consistent with a civic bronze issue of Nicaea in Bithynia.
