Obverse description Laureate head of the emperor Trajan facing right, with characteristic strong facial features rendered in the provincial style of the Pontic mint. The portrait is set within a circular legend field, with the Greek imperial titulature disposed around the periphery. The flan is irregular and slightly worn, consistent with provincial bronze coinage of the period.
