| Obverse description | Laureate, draped bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, rendered in the characteristic Roman imperial portrait style of his reign. The laurel wreath is clearly defined around the head, with short-cropped hair visible beneath. A circular Greek legend surrounds the effigy, reading from upper left to lower field. The portrait exhibits the strong, idealized physiognomy typical of Trajanic provincial coinage, with drapery visible at the truncation of the shoulder. |
