Obverse description Bare head of Emperor Tiberius facing right, rendered in the restrained classical portrait style characteristic of early Julio-Claudian provincial coinage. The effigy displays short, wavy hair rendered with fine detail, with the legend distributed around the periphery of the flan. The portrait occupies a large proportion of the field, consistent with the conventions of Roman provincial municipal issues struck under Tiberian authority.
