Obverse description Draped bust of the Roman Senate personified (Θεὰ Σύγκλητος), facing right, depicted in the manner of a deity with laureate or radiate head. A circular dotted border surrounds the design. The legend ΘEΟΝ CΥΝΚΛΗΤΟΝ is distributed around the bust in Greek script, identifying the subject as the divine Senate. The workmanship is characteristic of a provincial Flavian-era bronze issue, with somewhat rough flan preparation typical of Lydian civic coinage.
