| Reverse description | A prominent winged caduceus occupies the centre of the reverse field, depicted in high relief with two serpents entwined about the staff and a pair of outspread wings at mid-shaft. The design is bold and schematic, characteristic of provincial civic bronze coinage. The ethnic legend ΤΙΑΝΩΝ is inscribed horizontally across the field, divided on either side of the caduceus shaft below the wings, identifying the issuing city of Tium. The flan displays a green patina with earthen deposits consistent with the coin's provincial origin. |
