| Reverse description | Two prize wreaths occupying the central field, arranged side by side, each enclosing a single Greek letter: Π (Pi, for Pythian games) on the left and Ο (Omicron, for Olympian games) on the right. This homonoia reverse type commemorates the civic concordia between Hierapolis and Ephesus, both cities holding neocorate status, and celebrates the sacred games recognized by their alliance. The encircling Greek legend names the two cities and their shared honours. The coin is heavily patinated and the reverse design is largely obscured by corrosion. |
