Obverse description Draped and diademed bust of Otacilia Severa facing right, portrayed with characteristic Severan court styling. The empress is depicted with a stephane diadem and robed drapery over the shoulder. The Greek legend encircles the bust in the field, identifying her by her full imperial titulature. The flan shows typical provincial irregularity, with green patination obscuring portions of the relief. The portrait displays the conventional idealized treatment found on Phrygian civic bronze coinage of the mid-third century AD.
