| Obverse description | Bare or laureate head of Nero facing left, rendered in the provincial style typical of Thessalian civic coinage. The portrait displays the characteristic early Neronian physiognomy with a broad neck and youthful features. The Greek legend ΝΕΡωΝ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ encircles the effigy in the field. The flan is irregular, as is common for hammered provincial bronzes of this period. |
