Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Maximinus Thrax facing right, depicted from the rear in the characteristic provincial style. The effigy displays the emperor's military attire with paludamentum visible over the cuirass. A circular Greek legend surrounds the portrait in the field. The die work is typical of the Cibyra mint, rendered in moderately high relief on an irregular flan.
