Obverse description Bare laureate head of Lucius Verus facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Decapolis-region coinage. The portrait displays the characteristic features of Verus with a full beard and laurel wreath. The encircling Greek legend names the emperor in full imperial titulature. The flan is irregularly shaped, as is common with provincial bronzes of this region and period.
