| Reverse description | Tyche, the tutelary deity of the city, stands facing left, wearing a kalathos (modius) upon her head, her figure draped in a long chiton and himation. She holds a rudder in her extended right hand, symbolising the city's fortune and direction, and cradles a cornucopia in her left arm, emblematic of abundance. The ethnic legend ΕΥΙΠΠΕΩΝ is inscribed in the field, identifying the issuing civic authority of Euippe in Caria. The composition follows the standard iconographic scheme for Tyche on provincial bronze coinage of Asia Minor. |
