Reverse description A winged caduceus depicted upright in the center of the field, its staff entwined by two serpents whose heads meet at the top; flanking the caduceus shaft are two ears of grain (wheat), one on each side, their heads drooping outward, symbolizing the agricultural fertility of Egypt. The regnal year date appears in the field, rendered in Greek numerals. The composition is bold and centrally placed, typical of Alexandrian civic bronze coinage of the Hadrianic period.
