Reverse description The personification of Moesia Superior stands facing, her head turned to the left, depicted in long robes with both arms extended outward toward the two animals flanking her. To her left stands a bull facing right, symbolising one of the province's constituent peoples, and to her right crouches a lion facing left, representing the other. This allegorical composition is a hallmark of the provincial coinage of Viminacium, reflecting the duality of the Moesian province. The reverse legend, incorporating the colonial title and the regnal year AN IIII, encircles the design.
