Obverse description Draped bust of Empress Salonina facing right, her hair elaborately waved and set with a diadem, rendered in the provincial Greek style characteristic of Cyzicene civic coinage of the mid-third century AD. The effigy is presented with naturalistic modelling of the neck and shoulders, with drapery visible at the truncation. The encircling legend in Greek capitals reads ϹΑΛΩΝΕΙΝΑ ϹΕΒ(ΑϹΤ), identifying the subject as Salonina Augusta.

Reverse description A galley depicted sailing to the right, crewed by rowers at the oars and a steersman at the helm; two military standards are visible in the stern, while the prow is decorated with the figure of a Triton facing right, rendered as a hybrid sea-deity blowing a conch. The composition is a celebrated type of Cyzican civic pride, referencing the city's maritime heritage. The reverse legend in Greek capitals, disposed around the field, reads ΚΥΖΙΚ ΝΕΟΚ, proclaiming the neocorate status of Cyzicus.
