Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, depicted from behind (rear view), with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The imperial effigy is rendered in the provincial style typical of the Troas mint. The Latin legend encircles the bust along the periphery of the flan.

The composition is characteristic of the colonial bronze coinage of Alexandria Troas, where the horse served as a civic emblem.
