| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, portrayed with the bust seen from the rear in the characteristic three-quarter back view typical of Alexandria Troas coinage. The imperial effigy occupies the central field, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The encircling Latin legend names the emperor under his adopted dynastic title. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show heavy green patination consistent with extended burial. |

| Obverse lettering | ANTONINVS PIVS AV (Translation: Antoninus Pius Augustus) |
| Reverse description | A horse advancing to the right with head lowered in a grazing posture, rendered in bold relief against a plain field. The animal is depicted naturalistically with musculature visible despite the worn surfaces, a type emblematic of the famous wild horses of the Troad region sacred to the city of Alexandria Troas. The colonial legend is distributed around the periphery, with COL ALEX above and AVG in the lower field or exergue. The flan edges are irregular, typical of provincial hammered issues of this mint. |
