Obverse description Draped bust of Artemis Boreitene facing right, with a quiver at the shoulder. To the right, a bow terminating in a stag's head is depicted in the field. The legend ΒΟΡΕΙΤΗΝΗ is inscribed around the bust, identifying the deity as the local Lydian cultic epithet of Artemis. The portrait is rendered in the provincial Greek style characteristic of Asia Minor civic coinage of the Antonine period.
