| Obverse description | Bare laureate head of Emperor Claudius facing left, rendered in the provincial style typical of Epirote colonial issues. The portrait displays the characteristic physiognomy of Claudius with a broad neck and slightly idealized features. The surrounding field is worn, with the encircling Latin imperial legend partially visible, running clockwise around the effigy. The flan is irregularly shaped, consistent with hammered provincial bronze coinage of the Julio-Claudian period. |
