| Obverse description | Laureate head of Emperor Caracalla facing left, rendered in the characteristic provincial style of Bithynian coinage. The laurel wreath is clearly delineated around the imperial effigy. The circular Greek legend ΑΝΤΩΝΙΝΟϹ ΑΥΓΟΥϹΤΟϹ runs around the periphery, enclosed within a beaded border. The portrait displays the typical youthful features associated with early Severan iconography as adopted by provincial Bithynian mints. |
