Reverse description The god Pan depicted standing facing left in full figure, nude save for animal skin, his characteristic goat legs visible beneath. He holds a syrinx (pan pipes) in one hand and a pedum (shepherd's crook) in the other. The civic ethnic legend ΜΙΔΑΕΩΝ is distributed around the field, enclosed within a beaded border. The rendering reflects the local religious traditions of Midaeum, where Pan enjoyed particular veneration.
